Terminal 2, Dublin Airport – James Daly Memorial Lecture
Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport was opened to the public on 19 November 2010. This project is the centrepiece of a €1.2bn, five year investment programme by the Dublin Airport Authority. T2 and Pier E form over 100,000m² of floor area with four main structures, including the Check- in Hall, Arrivals & Departures Area, Central Plant Building and Pier E.
On Tuesday 8 March, 2011, Arup will present this exciting project in Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street. This presentation will outline the structural engineering features of the project; including the development of the distinctive double curvature form, the design of the Check In/Arrivals halls and Pier E.
